Completely renovated and launched in November 2004 Stylelab
is an upmarket multi-purpose photography studio situated five
minutes from the CBD in chic Collingwood - the 'Ragtrade' precinct
of Melbourne.
Originally built in the 1860’s¸ Stylelab’s previous life was a church
hall complete with classroom and vestibule. The 250sqm purposely designed space
now consists of a 160sqm photography & TVC studio¸ set-up for fashion¸
advertising¸ food¸ product¸ room settings or TV commercials.
Stylelab’s representative describes the interior to look¸ ¨More like a large
New York style apartment or art gallery than a photography studio.¨
Purely white with polished timber floors¸ large windows¸ and soaring ceilings
(with skylights)¸ make it a blank canvas - ready for action. A fully equipped
state of the art commercial kitchen with composite stone bench tops; European
appliances¸ fridge and dishwasher are available for food photography.
The Stylelab photography studio is well suited for photographers & production hoses who
require an exclusive space with a feel of style and prestige¸ rather
than jointly shared rentals. ¨When you book Stylelab it’s yours for
the booking period - which is beneficial as there are no unwanted
prying eyes.¨ A reassurance for photographers who frequently have
clients and art directors attend shoots.
The additional 90sqm of space consists of a fully serviced client meeting
room and model crash room containing satellite TV¸ Hi Fi CD player¸ and an
automatic Saeco coffee machine. The photography studio also boasts a private
paved courtyard accessed through French doors. The swank make-up and change
area has a fully fitted bathroom with shower - allowing for a more pleasurable
working experience¸ make-up artists¸ stylists and assistants are available on request.
There are also four onsite car parks included in the photography
studio rental. Another benefit is a professional lab nearby¸ while
Cosmopolitan Smith and Brunswick Streets being just around the corner.
